How does autism affect behaviour?

Autism influences the way a person interprets, responds, and interacts with others and their environment. Autistic individuals often present with atypical sensory profile, being more sensitive to some things and less sensitive to others. This can mean that individuals behave in ways that are unexpected to the non-autistic people around them, or in the case of responding to sensory issues, to others individuals who don’t share their sensory experience.
